A bit about me

I chose the name Simply Us because it reflects exactly how I want you to feel in front of my camera: comfortable and entirely yourselves. If you're a bit awkward taking photos, don't worry. My approach is mostly candid, and I'll step in with gentle direction only when you need it.

Getting here, though, wasn't a straight path. I actually started out studying Biology in college. My mom raised me on her own, and she just wanted me to have a safe, stable job. But I barely survived one quarter! Growing up, I was never the kid who was good at math or chemistry. My heart was always in art and painting. The idea of a 9 to 5 office job terrified me. So, I took a leap, left the safe path behind, and decided to pursue what I actually love.

Funny enough, stepping behind the camera felt like it was meant to be. My Vietnamese name, Quang Dương, actually translates to light. I like to think of photography as my way of painting with light. To me, a camera is basically a time machine. It catches those tiny, honest moments that we'd otherwise forget. When I'm shooting your wedding, my goal is to capture that magic exactly as it feels, keeping it simple and real.

When I'm not working, you can usually find me hanging out with my two dogs, Coco and Unu, or planning my next trip. Travel has shaped the way I see light, people, and the small details that make a moment feel alive. Documenting my own life made me realize something: when I get older, I just want a beautiful archive of memories to look back on. And honestly, that is exactly what I want to hand over to you. A timeless story of your day, simply told.

Let's tell your story

I'd love to hear all about your plans. Big wedding or intimate elopement, my goal is simple: let's create a beautiful gallery of photos that actually feels like you
